What does the term "product sync" mean?

Whenever a product is either evaluated, added or removed from a catalog, a product sync event is recorded. Evaluations occur whenever a product is created or updated and will count once per event. For additions and removals of products from a catalog, each event will count as a product sync. If a product was added to one catalog, and removed from a catalog, three product sync events would be accumulated.

What is the difference between automatic and manual syncs?

An automatic sync occurs whenever a product is created or updated. Manual syncs are triggered by you.

If a product is updated, but included in a catalog, will it be charged?

No, it will not be counted as a product sync.
